Adding a touch of opulence, the lateral heels are embroidered with metallic gold numerals representing '23' and '5'—the jersey numbers worn by MJ and his son, Marcus. The translucent rubber sole boasts a unique wood-grain pattern, reminiscent of the court-style flooring found in MJ's trophy room. This runs a little bigger than usual,but these are made well. These have a strong chemical smell. They do hold up well under all weather and conditions,they come with an extra pair of laces.

Superstars have been in style since the 80's and keep on rocking. These Vulcs are a bit lighter than the original and the insole is different. The insoles are comfortable, but they aren't as slick and more of a rubber kind of material that don't really allow you to slip these one while leaving the laces tied like the original. Also the stripes are more integrated into the side instead of being a seperate stitched piece like on the originals and tend to crack kind of over time. Besides that, I do find they wear better over time than the originals.
