The New Balance 9060 'Sea Salt Surf' is a lifestyle runner that effortlessly merges design elements from classic 99X models with the striking tech-inspired aesthetic of Y2K-era running shoes. The upper combines sand-colored mesh with tonal suede overlays, featuring mismatched 'N' logos presented in matte silver on the lateral side and embroidered in white on the opposite side. The tongue boasts an NB 9060 logo, drawing inspiration from the original 991 lace jewel. The sneaker rests upon a sculpted ABZORB midsole, complemented by SBS cushioning and a translucent CR device at the heel. The diamond outsole pattern, borrowed from the 860, provides excellent traction.

I've been wearing New Balance cross-trainers for years. They've always been great. These hiking shoes continue that experience.
I bought these hoping for some additional ankle support. Though concerned about the fit and not trying them on, I matched the size of my NB cross-trainers, and hoped for the best. No surprise, they fit just fine.
Looking at them you can tell these are not the typical/traditional heavy hiking boots. They're more of a slightly stiffer high-top sport shoe. Like a sport shoe, they are much lighter than a more traditional boot. They do provide good ankle support, and have a little bit more cushioning than a sport shoe in the sole and ankles. The soles, though Vibram, are also more like a sneaker sole, but seem to provide a very good grip.
All in all, I like 'em.

This well-made leather sneaker is perfect for someone looking for something that is a step up from a skate shoe, but one that remains stylish. The black leather looks great with jeans and looks a little dressier than a typical athletic shoe. The Lacoste alligator logo looks great on the side of the shoe; it's noticeable but not gaudy. In addition to looking good, the shoe is also lightweight and comfortable which is just as important. This product definitely lives up to the Lacoste brand.
