The Nike Zoom Kobe 5 Protro 'Year of the Mamba' celebrates the Lunar New Year and the year of the snake with a seamless synthetic upper in purple iridescent and a golden serpent graphic encircling the lateral Swoosh. Flywire cables ensure a secure, locked-in fit, while an external heel counter supports the rear foot. This Protro version upgrades from a Phylon to a Cushlon foam midsole, incorporating Zoom Air cushioning in the forefoot. A translucent rubber outsole and a glass/carbon fiber shank plate form the base of the sneaker.

I typically buy New Balance size 14 x-narrow (14AA), and this shoe in size 14 regular works great. It has good support and enough cushion on the sides to feel snug, and I suspect it would also feel great for size 14B, 14C, or even 14D. Sketchers make wide and extra wide versions of their shoes.

I needed to replace my Vibram Five Fingers 7 or so dedicated years. These are incredibly comfortable, and have almost as much ground feel, with just a tiny hint of cushion which actually feels quite nice. They are super light and form to the foot well.

I bought these for my 3 year old who is in a size 9 right now and these are way too big on him. Even with thick socks. But we love converse and this isn't his first pair. They do run about a size too large but I knew that and was anticipating him growing into them. The brand is perfect for a rough and tumble little boy! We got the elastic laces for them too so they're easy to slip on and off (even when he grows into them the rest of the way) which makes them even better!

These are comfortable and they look great. I believe they have a stitched rubber cup sole, which are common on fashion sneakers and I love them for their comfort. The leather isn't anything to write home about, but it's comfortable and finished well.
I purchased these with a deep discount, so I'm definitely getting my money's worth out of them. At full price, however, there are better quality fashion sneakers, but finding them in all these colors may prove difficult.
I put down that they run a little large, because they do for athletic shoes, although they run as expected for dress shoe brands, like Cole Haan. So I ordered a half size down from my usual athletic shoe size (nike, et al) and they fit perfect. So choose your size based off your dress shoes, rather than your athletic sneakers, as you should always do when you're not ordering from an athletic shoe brand, unless you've been instructed otherwise.
Overall, I'm very pleased with these shoes and will consider paying more for another pair in the future, but only if they're on sale.
