The New Balance 2002R ‘Phantom’ is a standout member of the 'Protection Pack,' which includes three neutral colorways of this iconic lifestyle runner, originally introduced in 2010. This particular iteration features a sleek and monochromatic dark grey hue throughout its upper. The breathable mesh base is complemented by raw-edged suede overlays, adding to the shoe's deconstructed aesthetic. A subtle tonal 'N' logo can be found on the quarter panel, while a discreet 2002R branding is placed on the lateral side. The distressed ABZORB midsole, borrowed from the 860v2 model, offers lightweight cushioning and ensures a smooth ride for enhanced comfort.

These shoes are awesome! The look is just great, I have gotten numerous compliments on them. I am also a crossfitter so have used these for both heavy strength training and metcon workouts with running and lifting. The flat sole is good for lifting technique and has good cushion overall, not crazy but enough and has a great fit to it. Only thing I would recommend is scotch guard the white areas cause they get dirty fast on the toe. Awesome otherwise, and I will probably by another pair when these start to wear out but doing great so far with regular wearing and workouts.

I have been wearing new balance but I needed an x-tra wide width so I gave these a try. I love them. very well made, very comfortable and the fit was great. highly recommend, especially if you need the x-tra wide width

I was worried when these arrived because they were pretty stiff, but after about a week of wearing them, they broke in very nicely and are awesome! They look great with casual outfits and are fairly comfortable. I do have somewhat wide feet and after several hours of wearing, my dogs are barking, but that's nothing new.

New Balance makes such nice and affordable shoes. The material does get dirty easily and is hard to clean unless you have the "show cleaners." Pretty sure people can find a crafty way to DIY clean these without having to buy a shoe cleaner, I just have not taken the time to see for myself.

Not the most stylish of shoes, but they worked great for what we needed them for the Rose Bowl Parade and everything else they did out there, he didn't have them broke in either, because there was no time, we got them 2 days before he left for his trip and he didn't have any issues at all with his feet hurting them and he actually stated he likes them and would buy another pair. He is hard on shoes and they've held up for a few months now so yes these are good walking shoes.

They should never stop production of this shoe. It is the best for flatground freestyle. I wish the velcro straps were wider.
